Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT)

RO-DBT is a treatment modality supported by over 30 years of research that was designed to address issues and disorders of excessive self-control, also known as overcontrol (OC; e.g.,  perfectionism, cognitive rigidity, people-pleasing, obsessive compulsive personality disorder, restrictive eating disorders) that often results in emotional loneliness, and at times, social isolation. Additionally, RO-DBT has been found to be effective for what is referred to as treatment-resistant depression and treatment-resistant anxiety.
