I am a Clinical Psychologist specializing in overcontrol and internalizing presentations, patterns typically marked by inhibition, rigidity, rumination, and chronic nervous system threat sensitivity (often the struggle is "silent" or "invisible" to most others). These patterns commonly underlie:
- Chronic anxiety and depression
- Trauma and complex trauma
- Restriction-based eating disorders
- Addictions that are often hidden/ritualized
- Perinatal mental health challenges
- Avoidant, Obsessive Compulsive, or Schizoid personality traits
- Autism or ADHD intersecting with masking and emotional inhibition
Additionally, I offer
psychological evaluations for adults seeking assessment
for Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD.
I also provide
relationship and family therapy for those seeking to transform unhelpful relational patterns into effective and values-aligned ways of relating and co-healing through skills-based and (optional) trauma-focused approaches.
I am Level 3 trained in Radically Open DBT (RO DBT), an evidence-based treatment developed specifically for overcontrolled and internalizing disorders. As a Certified EMDR clinician, I skillfully integrate trauma-focused therapy when past experiences continue to shape the nervous system. In addition, I draw from other empirically supported, skills-based and relational approaches to ensure treatment is individualized, developmentally attuned, and grounded in current neurobiological research.
My work helps clients preserve their strengths while increasing flexibility, emotional openness, and authentic connection in alignment with their individual and shared valued goals.
